Clear (Drain) Stones are clean materials free of fines to ensure drainage through the stone bed. Clear stones have a variety of uses including:
- Pipe bedding
- Foundation backfill
- Sewer/Mound Systems
- Retaining Walls
- French Drains
- Landscaping
- Storage Pads for RV’s, Outdoor Equipment, Firewood, etc.
Clear stones produced in our limestone quarries are homogenous in color and have 100% fractured faces to prevent rolling or shifting once in place.
Clear stones produced in our gravel pits have a variety of color and also have a very high percentage of fractured faces (usually >75%) making them suitable for many bedding and backfill applications.
Clear stones at our Lisbon Gravel Pit have been washed, scrubbed, and rinsed eliminating dust and making them an ideal product to place in ditches where workers are present.
CHIPS

3/8″ Chips is a clean, clear crushed limestone or gravel well-graded from 3/16″ to 3/8″. Either washed or double dry-screened, our 3/8” chips meet local specifications for pipe bedding and are ideal for trench work where a lot of manual placement is required.

5/8″ Chips is a clean, clear crushed limestone or gravel well-graded from 1/4″ to 5/8″. Double-dry screened in all locations, our 5/8” chips meet local specifications for pipe bedding. As an intermediate-sized chip, it offers greater resistance to movement than 3/8″ chips, but easier workability than 1 Stone.

1 STONE
1 Stone is a clean, clear crushed limestone or washed gravel well graded from 3/8” to 7/8”. 1 Stone serves well as bedding or backfill where most placement is done with equipment.

2 Stone is a clean, clear crushed limestone well-graded from 1″ to 2″. Typically used on construction sites to firm up soft or muddy areas, it also serves as an excellent draining material, or erosion control for small, slow water flows.
