Sand is perhaps the most used, most ubiquitous inorganic material in the world. Sand is literally everywhere in the modern human world from our buildings (concrete) to our roads (asphalt) to our pastimes (golf courses, beaches, ball fields) to our children’s sandboxes. We are seldom out of sight from sand even when we look right through it (glass) and while it is a relatively simple material, modern sand production is exacting and complex.

CONCRETE SAND

Concrete Sand or Torpedo Sand is a very clean, washed gravel sand graded from #200 mesh to 3/16″, designed to meet the WI DOT spec for Fine Concrete Aggregates and the ASTM C33 concrete spec.

MASON SAND
BEACH SAND
Mason Sand is a clean, washed gravel sand graded from #200 mesh to #16 mesh designed to meet customer specs for grout mixes.
We stock Mason Sand at our Lisbon Pit and Richfield Pit.
ULTRA-FINE WASHED SAND
Ultra-fine Washed Sand is a washed, well-graded natural sand from #600 mesh (20 μm) to #100 mesh (150 μm). Better packing than coarser sands, but still permeable, Ultra-Fine Washed Sand is less abrasive making it an ideal solution for:
- Underneath pond or landfill liners
- Backfilling sensitive utilities
- Mixing with soils or composts
- Raising the grade of a non-load-bearing surface
- Cattle Bedding

BEDDING SAND
Screened Sand is an unwashed natural sand less than 1/2″ in size. Screened sand is ideal for applications where better workability and some permeability is required.

GOLF COURSE SAND
Golf Course Sand is a very clean, washed sand conforming to USGA specifications for bunker sand.
